Pool Opening Questions

When should I open my pool in Pennsylvania or Delaware?

The ideal time to open your pool in the PA/DE region is late April to early May, when daytime temperatures consistently reach above 60 degrees. Opening too early risks equipment damage from late freezes, while waiting too long allows algae to develop under the cover.

How far in advance should I schedule pool opening?

We recommend scheduling your pool opening 4-6 weeks in advance. Late April and early May are our busiest times, and preferred dates fill quickly. Many customers book their opening date when they schedule their closing the previous fall.

How long until I can swim after opening?

After a proper opening, most pools are swim-ready within 24-48 hours once the water has circulated and chemicals have balanced. If the pool was well-maintained during closing, you might be swimming sooner. Pools with significant algae or debris may require additional treatment time.

What should I do to prepare for your arrival?

Please ensure we have access to the pool area, the equipment room is unlocked, and any large debris like branches has been removed from the cover. If your water level is low due to evaporation, adding water before our arrival can speed up the process.
